Uncomfortably Honest

Hey guys,

I can’t believe it’s the last day of my #blogpostadaychallenge! Thank you for sticking with me through this, I will be talking more about my experience in a blogpost coming soon!

Today, I want to talk about the importance of making new connections. My bf and I recently went on our first double date and it was such a good time. There’s something truly refreshing about meeting people that you instantly kick it off with. This summer for me is all about exploring and expanding. My goal is to check out as many dope spots as I can, meet as many new people as possible and create a shitload of content! So far, so good!

I remember when I was so anti-social, I pretty much hated everybody in the world. But, to get out of that phase, I had to check myself by having an honest sober reflection and answering some tough questions that I had been trying to avoid.  For example, “what are you so afraid of Nikky?”

The recent realization that in order to grow, I have to step out of my comfort zone has truly been the biggest eye opener for me. It’s one thing to hear people tell you, you need to step out of your comfort zone, but it’s another thing to realize that for yourself. I’m truly happy that I can be honest with myself , it takes a lot to be able to do that, but honest conversations is one of the major ingredients for growth!

With all of that being said, let’s get to the fun part of this post. So, for our double date, I obviously had to keep it cute but at the same time not do the most. I opted for my go-to outfit, which is usually wide-legged pants and a crop top.

                               Location one: a random street

I paired these Forever 21 burnt orange pants with an urban outfitters nude bandeau (I tucked in the straps because I preferred the way it looked with the pants). I live for these toness, not only do they look good on my skin, but you can also never go wrong with combining them. They paired perfectly together and I was pretty happy with the way it looked.

Location two: the subway
you can turn any location into a cute spot to shoot, you just have to find the perfect spot
with good lighting. I mean, who knew the subway will be
a good location with bomb ass lighting? JUST TRY!

I hope you guys liked this post and I hope you were able to learn a thing or two. Step out of your comfort zone today, you never know how that bold step will change your life. Thanks for stopping by. xx
